1. ผู้เรียนต้องการอย่างแรงกล้าที่จะเรียน
2. สิ่งที่เรียนนั้นตรงกับ ความต้องการ (Needs) ความปรารถนา (Wants)
3. การเรียนรู้จะต้องมีความหมาย มีคุณค่า มีประโยชน์มากสำหรับตัวผู้เรียน
4. ผู้เรียนควรเข้าใจจุดมุ่งหมาย เป้าหมายที่แน่ชัดว่า เรียนไปทำประโยชน์อะไร
5. ความรู้ที่จะให้กับชาวบ้านนั้น ควรตรงกับสติปัญญา วัย เพศ ระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ
6. ความรู้ใหม่ที่จะให้กับตัวผู้เรียนนั้น ควรมีความรู้หรือมีประสบการณ์เดิมอยู่บ้าง
7. การเรียนรู้ที่ดีที่สุด คือการเรียนรู้ด้วยการกระทำ ( Learning by doing)
8. เมื่อเรียนรู้ด้วยการกระทำแล้ว ยังมีการฝึกฝนด้วยการกระทำซ้ำบ่อยๆ เพิ่มความชำนาญ
9. การเรียนรู้ที่ดีควรมีการเรียนจากสิ่งที่เป็นรูปธรรมไปหาสิ่งที่เป็นนามธรรม
10. เรียนรู้สิ่งที่ง่ายไปหาสิ่งที่ยุ่งยากตามลำดับชั้น เพื่อให้การเรียนการสอนได้ผลสมบูรณ์ควรแนะนำหรือสอนง่ายๆ แล้วค่อยๆ ทวีความยากขึ้นทีละน้อย ๆ ตามลำดับ
11. สอนตามหลักจิตวิทยาการศึกษาหรือหลักการเรียนรู้โดยมีการจัดลำดับการเรียนรู้ ตามหลักที่ว่าผู้เรียนควรจะเรียนรู้เรื่องใดก่อนหลัง นอกจากนั้นยังต้องจัดเนื้อหาให้สอดคล้องกับประสบการณ์ของผู้เรียนด้วย
12. การเรียนรู้ที่ดีควรใช้อุปกรณ์การสอนหรือสื่อสัมพันธ์ต่าง ๆ เช่น หนังสือ เอกสาร ฯลฯ
